Why Choosing An Independent Optician Is The Best Thing
You Could Do for Your Eyes
You may have noticed us talk on social media about the recent glut of TV adverts promoting cheap glasses.
Even if you haven’t you can probably imagine our thoughts on these services!
Competition is generally good for the consumer but there’s something very impersonal about ordering specs online, regardless of how inexpensive they are.
So, why should you visit your local, independent optician?
Lots of reasons! But here are a few:
- Having a friendly, local optician on hand is, well, very handy! You more than likely won’t develop a relationship with an online optician the same way you will with your street-front practice. Being able to drop in or telephone when you’ve dropped your specs or lost your contacts is invaluable. You receive a quick response, and you won’t have to answer hundreds of questions because we’ll know you and your peepers inside out. Talk about time-saving!
- Rather than take a website’s word for it you can call in and see for yourself our high-tech, state of the art equipment and wide range of stylish spectacles. It might seem appealing browsing for glasses online curled up on the sofa but buying specs is serious business! Calling in to your local optician offers peace of mind you won’t get on the internet. Our friendly, informed staff can advise on styles, frames, lenses and all the extras. They’ll know what frames will suit your face and those that won’t. Imagine the hassle of having to return specs to an online company because they’re nothing like you’d imagined!
- Your Eyes Optician is a bona fide eye care specialist and our credentials are clear to all who visit. Unlike some online companies, you can rely on word of mouth testimonials and reviews from friends, family and neighbours. We are a community optician and community is central to everything we do!
